Cake Pops: Day 3

Cake Pops... UGH!

Cake Pops... UGH!

That pretty much sums up my thought on today's post. However before I just leave yall, I guess I could give you the long story.

So my oldest daughter came home last Friday super excited because all the sixth graders at her school were hosting a bake sale during the family dance. She was excited because she knows that I can NOT say no. So she asked... "Mommy! Mommy, can you please make something for the bake sale?" What was I to do? I said yes and I thought to myself... "What is the easiest thing to make for this bake sale?" Well now I know, IT'S NOT CAKE POPS! LOL

So the truth is... Cake pops are so simple to make. You take a box of cake mix and bake it like instructed, then you let it cool, and crumble it up. Then you mix in 2/3 of a can of frosting and guess what, You've got cake ball dough! So now you let that sit for about 15 mins. Then you roll them into balls and let those sit for another 15-20 mins. Then you melt some chocolate and dip the stick in the chocolate then into the ball. Now you have cake pops. Last big step is decorating them to you liking. This is so very time consuming!

In life I'm not much of a perfectionist, but when it comes to my crafts I have to be! These cake pops that I made today do not meet my standards, AT ALL! To tell you the truth, if I could remake them and have them ready first thing in the morning then I would. However there is no time for that and I still have to put them in baggies. Again... UGH!

Tomorrow will be another busy day for me, I have to drop these cake pops off at the school; first thing in the morning. Then I have to go back to the school for an award ceremony. Then I have to go back again for the family dance. Oh and on top of all of that, I am watching a little girl too! I can't wait for Saturday and sleeping in. Or so I hope. Thanks for reading! See yall tomorrow!
